My Journey from Darkness to Redemption in Christ.

I grew up in a Christian home—church, gospel music, and family prayers were a normal part of life. But even as a child, I felt the tension between the light I was taught and the darkness that tried to pull me in. One of my earliest spiritual memories was during a chaotic moment in school, where I had what I now recognize as a divine encounter with God. That experience planted a seed—but it would be years before it truly took root.

As I got older, curiosity pulled me into dangerous territory. I became close to someone who was a self-proclaimed warlock. At first, I was scared of his knowledge and energy—but then I got curious. That curiosity opened a door. I started dabbling in witchcraft, playing with dark board games that my sister warned me about. I thought it was just for fun… until it wasn’t.

Nightmares, shadows in my room, sleep paralysis—it was terrifying. I felt like something had a grip on me, and the fear was so intense I could barely sleep. But one night, in desperation, I remembered the name of Jesus. I called out, and just like that—the atmosphere shifted. Peace entered where fear once lived. That was the beginning of my turning point.

In my early adult life, I took a job as a stripper. I didn’t walk in wanting that life, but I was broke and desperate. The money was fast. The attention was addicting. But behind the scenes, I was falling apart—lonely, anxious, and addicted. I kept spiraling, and things got worse when I entered a toxic, abusive relationship.

I nearly died from an overdose after smoking laced weed. I questioned everything—my worth, my choices, even whether life was worth living. That same boyfriend turned violent. He was drunk, angry, and armed. One night, I thought it was the end. I cried out to God—reciting a Psalm my father had once taught me—and suddenly, three men I’d never seen before showed up and helped me escape. To this day, I know they were sent by God.

That moment led me back to Jesus.

I had a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit—one that filled me with a peace I had never known before. I felt love, true love, not based on money or performance, but on grace. I knew I couldn’t go back to the life I was living.

I quit stripping. I broke off toxic soul ties. I went to a women’s retreat where God reminded me that I was made for more. Over the next 13 years, my life radically changed. It wasn’t always easy—but I leaned on prayer, studied the Word, and let God heal the broken pieces of my past. My marriage was restored. I became a worship leader. Now, I use music to bring hope to others, just like God brought hope to me.

If you’re struggling with fear, addiction, abuse, or a sense of purposelessness—hear me when I say: Jesus can redeem you.
There’s nothing too dark for Him to light up.
There’s no one too far gone that He can’t reach.
I’m living proof.
